Actually mainstreamers must perform extra hard and outstanging for the top ip schools' DSA process inorder to be offered CO.. So 3 cheers to the kids!!! :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:

      :thankyou: vlim.
Frankly, DD was having a bout of bad flu when she sat for the final round in the GEP test during p3. If she had been in the pink of health & cld perform to her optimum, her DSA journey cld hv been mapped out differently. Though the family GP doc who has been seeing her since very young, pre-empted me that DD is gifted & to watch out for her... & when the crucial time came, I was like : what can I do, the flu bug likes her leh, keeping sticking on her! :rotflmao:)

Is ok .. She has miss out only 3 yrs of gep and I believe she has enjoyed her past 3 yrs of school life too .. Next yr onwards she will be joining the rest of the gep kids in nygh! Maybe tt is fate ... :imanangel:

Your dd's Chinese is very impressive. Knocked my socks off. 🙂 Did she apply through Chinese DSA for RGS?

oh no!!!! in this case, the chance is not high here as well!!!!
My main worry here is that given that children in GEP prog only started revision in P6 & have heard that there're GEPers that didn't do well in PSLE. What if my DS can't do well in PSLE??? I feel extremely worried when any of the relative told my DS \"oh, u sure no prob lah, in GEP leh....\" I'm worried that my DS couldn't take it if he did not do well in PSLE.... I'm now trying to tell him that he can also excel if he does not go to good IP school as long as he works hard.

ACSI only offered a few COs to its own ACPS GEP boys last year. That was under the old P. Not sure if things will be different this year.

Don't panic. Your son's only in P5 now right? Tell him to work hard, boost his academics and chalk up more certificates. Next year, apply to a maximum of 3 schools. It could be that this year's batch is stronger with more scoring >80% and so the competition's tougher. Things might be different next year.

Yap, this is what I've told him. To work hard now if he wants to join his friends. & I can see that he's putting in effort. But they're dragon babies. Think their cohort of boys are more too. So maybe more competitive.
Sorry for my ignorant. If ACI does not have GE class like HCI & RI, then why are they consider as one of the IP sch for GEPers?

Pleasantly surprised when DS called me and said he received a WL for RI.

Well at least it's better than rejection............
                    That's good news ngbrdad. :congrats:

                        :thankyou: for the encouragement.
