          any one has feedback on

          1. cck swimming complex
          2. JE swimming complex

eg, is it very crowded, entry fees, lockers etc.

am thinking of dropping by there instead of going all the way to WWW for the kids pool slide.

Well, the fact that your very own WWW Spiritual Leader chooses to swim in the pools of the north-east can only mean something...

I've only brought DD to the CCK one and some years ago. It's of course much cheaper than WWW, factoring in the transport costs as well. There are lockers but I can't remember if there was a coin-changing machine or if it was out-of-order the few times I was there. Anyway, it was easier to just ensure I had enough spare change for the lockers before going.

It's very crowded on weekends but since you're a SAHM, you can always go on a weekday afternoon. IIRC, it's closed on Mondays. There are many different pools for different age groups. DD didn't like the toddler pool since it only had basic (read:safe) rides there, and she was about 4yo, I think. She finally plucked up courage to go up the children's slide on her own while I wait to catch her at the bottom.

We will go lounge at the \"shore\" of the wave pool until they turn on the waves, which are too strong for a young child. I think the wave pool is heated. Next to it are the \"rapids\" which DD loved. She would put on her swimming ring and wait for me to push her \"upstream\". then, I'll turn her around and we'll float \"downstream\" together. Rinse and repeat. Do note that although this is very fun for the child, the parent can tire easily. Probably explains why I never got really fat after pregnancy.

We never went to the competition pool or tried the adult slide so I can't give feedback on those. Do note that since it's a public pool, shower and locker facilities are basic and equipment may not be that well-maintained so parents should check first and decide whether the equipment is safe. You know your child best.

P.S. If you drive, there's a carpark within the same building. if you get hungry after the swim, just drive or take the feeder bus to Lot 1.
