Haha! Come to Charity and pressure is lesser 😄 though may not necessary be good.

However, I have been thinking about the what is really good for a child. I have a friend whose gal always top in class or top 3 in std (in other school but no streaming for P1 and P2). When she was being streamed to the best class in P3, her standard deteroriated in SA1. My friend said that she no longer felt motivated because if she got 95 marks, almost half of the class got better marks than her. With time, she lost her interest. However, my friend does not intend to pressurize her...will let her get used to the competitive environment. So, even sending her to learning lab does not guarantee her academic performance though she is already very bright. Most impotant is how a child can cope in a competitive environment psychologically and what motivates them as they are still kids

Btw, J class has a outstanding giril who scored full marks for Maths in SA1, even highest in H class is only 98. 😄

Ya, to help her cope in the competitive environment, I have to keep reminding her that she only needs to do her best and not be bothered by marks.

But I am glad, my daughter still goes to school and comes home cheerfully everyday despite having to split from her previous P1 classmates. Keeping my fingers crossed that she will remain happy in school till P6. 😄

Joy class also has a girl who goes to Hope for chinese.
        😄

The kids will go to their respective classes and meet their form teacher. The parents will be in the hall listening to the Principal's address. Before that, there will be a tour around the school for u to take a look at the facilities.

After the talk, parents may proceed to the canteen to buy uniform, books and arrange for school bus.

That's all I can remember. Oh, think there were 1-2 performances by current students, band and dance, I think. 😄

No. My gal does not have to go back to sch during the sept hols. And yes CCA starts at P1 but it is not compulsory.

During the 1st 2 weeks of P1, the kids will go thru auditions in all performing arts; Choir, Band, Tap dance, fusion dance and after that u will receive a form informing u that ur gal has shown talent in 1-2 areas and is encouraged to join 1 of the grp as CCA.

                    HI,

My gal is in 1P this year…my 2nd gal will be in P1 next year…but have yet to know which class she’ll be going to…

Am having problems with my 1st girl eversince she joined the school. She truly enjoys her time there…but it seemed like she only looks forward for play and her work has since been heading downhill. I kept telling myself that I am being paranoid…but why do I keep getting the feeling that the teachers are not doing enough???

                    Anyone care to share???

                        Hi All 😄

My daughter is in P3 this year...and I was from CHIJ BT as well...many moons ago 😉 🙂

So far for the past 3 yrs my daughter has had really good teachers. Especially in P1..we had emails every other day.. In P3 this yr,,,the teachers want the girls to have independence and learn to pass on impt. info to parents on their own..which i think is really good 😉

'Hope' (from p3 onwards) is the 'Best' class followed by Peace...BUT i stress to my daughter that they ALL are the SAME 🙂
                        My daughter loves it there...
