ohdaddy:
:rotflmao:LMAO will wear tailored MCS pinafore but the party better be dammmmmmn good man free flow food drinks music. And have a camera-ban!
Moreover, cannot wear that out of the house or the kids who of course would be left at home for that kind of party, would be very confused at what daddy and mummy are up to. Must be like a teen again, but this time keep the pinafore inside the bag when leave the house, and change into it in the car before the party!

Tinkerbelle, I think these days most kids who grow up in English speaking homes sound like foreigner reading chinese :rotflmao: When I hear myself read, I think I also sound like that, as I grew up in a more English school, and all chinese standards were questionable :faint:
:hi5: michyms. Actually, sometimes when DD1 asks me how to read/write certain chinese characters......:scratchhead: I must check the dictionary  ....Tinkerbelle:
Thanks Tinkerbelle, isn't standard chinese also offered in P5 and 6 as well? hmm, 3 full months of HYPY - that's quite different from our days I guess when HYPY was kind of a by the way thing. My girl's CC is already teaching HYPY so hopefully that will mean she'll have an easier time absorbing when she gets to P1.
Hi michyms,
Sorry......typo error.......Standard Chinese is offered for P1-P6 at MCS but only Higher MT is offered at P5-P6 level. Thanks for pointing it out.
Yes, definitely different from our days. Nowadays, with the intro to HYPY, I find that DD2 is very reliant on it. When she reads Chinese book, she tends to read the HYPY, not the Chinese characters. :slapshead: In the end, sound like foreigner reading chinese.... keke
Great that your DD has already started on HYPY. It'll be a breeze for her in P1 then. :boogie: -

Hi LLX04,
Wow, the list are going to be than last year.
How was your DD's P1 maths AA? Did she come home and say \" easy peasy, lemon squeezy\"? :imcool: -
Tinkerbelle:
Tinkerbelle, yeah, me too. I usually delegate the task of answering dd's chinese related questions to my hb, since he took Higher chinese during his secondary school days. My hb says the advantage of having taken higher chinese is that at least he can read chinese newspaper, whereas I can't
:hi5: michyms. Actually, sometimes when DD1 asks me how to read/write certain chinese characters......:scratchhead: I must check the dictionary  ....
May I check with you for students who take HMT for PSLE, how does this get computed into the scores for entering a SAP school? Can students choose to attend HMT classes but not take the exam in P6? -

Hi,
Can anyone share if there are lockers or cupboards in class available for the P1 children to leave behind their files or textbooks in school like some of the dingle session schools?
Thanks -
Oops, typo error. I meant single session schools.
