ooi, why name me ?? :rotflmao: :rotflmao: I am not even in the presidential erection !! :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
Nothing personal and no harassment intended, sorry if you feel that way. I excerpt for brevity and crispness, not to distort. Its always strictly on the issues and I happen to disagree with you on this one (yes, I happen to disagree with you on the other one also).1amber:
Dear 3Boys,
Please do not cut out a term or phrase, tear it apart with your eloquence and repaint my comments. Don't put words in my mouth like what you did before. I know you are out attack me subtly because I disagreed with you in another thread. I request that you do not harass me anymore. Enough is enough with you. Won't be back. Thank you and have a nice day.
Even vks2010 and I can agree on things, and he and I have had far more tetchy encounters.
I assure you it is nothing personal, and I apologise again if you feel that way, my style is just robust. -

like it or not, only TT and TCB are serious contendersWatching the Nomination 'live' on CNA. These are my observations and personal opinions.
TCB - speak with sincerity and dignity, can almost feel his heart for Singapore and the people of spore; stresses he wants to be a unifying figure to bring sporeans together.
TT - speak confidently and assuredly. enough said.
TJS - opens his mouth only and \"offended\" the government already. Say he wants to be the \"checks & balances\" to (quoting him) prevent the government from \"abusing their power\".
TKL - the only one to speak in 4 languages, yes, including tamil when calling for votes. And unlike the other 3, he spoke in Malay first, followed by Tamil, Chinese and English. Strange...seems like he is trying to garner the minority votes. After his speech, he even 'hi-fives' with his team of supporters on stage. Hmmm... abit making light of the serious and dignified PE, if u ask me.
the other, with due respect to their braveness, will be 'also run' -
Lets see how close this gets to the actual result, will be fun to see.

Strparent:
That is so not true, in my opinion. If well prepared, yes, but on many impromptu situations, he does not show confidence nor assurance on his own views. Have you actually seen the recent and real TT in action ? http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22784&start=350, in my opinion.Mrsbongz:
Actually I feel that of all the candidates, only TT qualify... from the way they speak their mind plainly without diplomacy these few mths.. can't imagine any of the others hosting pple like Obama or China... if any of the rest get elected, GOVT better spend money training them up before they speak out of turn at the international level. The president is not just to serve the nation, but to represent Singapore to international govt...

Sounded more like talking in circles, instead of a clear concise confident response, in my personal opinion.
I totally agree. I was holding the \"good old\" impression of TT before and thought very highly of him..... until I attended a public lecture that he gave a few weeks ago, and that impression did a 360 degree turn. Lots of \"hand-waving\", did not answer questions to the point, delivered views that I think are vague and nothing much more insightful than most well-educated people could do.
Just my own personal opinion. -

so it is 35% vs 65%, what an indictmentmany are more interested in 家äŗ than å½äŗć
I going for TCB.
My gut feel of the end results:
TT - 35%
TCB - 32%
TJS - 18%
TKL - 15%
The more candidates the better coz TT has a good 'base' of those who don't read to begin with...
he could win an election but majority did not vote for him -

Not sure if he will easily quit as president if elected when he can't agree with gament policy next time and yet can't do anything about it. :scratchhead:
Dr Tan has quit the board of the new hospital in Jurong, in protest against it being named after late tycoon Ng Teng Fong.
FORMER Member of Parliament Tan Cheng Bock has stepped down from the board of the upcoming hospital in Jurong because he disagrees with its new name: the Ng Teng Fong Hospital.
