Just last week, I caught 2 maids distributing MLM flyers while walking the dogs. One would distribute to the houses on the left side of the road while the other, on the right.

it is worthwhile to repeat a posting here

every morning there is a group of pinoy maids from around the neighbourhopod, at least 6 or 8 of them, gathered to chit chat, from chit chat to course jesting, then progress to loud chatter, then progress further to become like a daily rally (a la national day rally)...while the dogs they are supposed to walk are creating a nuisance chasing each other and disturbing the neighbourhood.....and the whole neighbourhood is turned into worse than a nite market with all the sharp shrill screaming (like dogs in heat), loud laughter and squeals.....until police has to be called to maintain order.....

many times, just felt like turning on the garden hose and let it spray full blast around, never mind the water bill ......
Yes this is very irritating. Thank goodness the maids in my estate or at least my row of houses, don't congregate outside...

My neighbour had a maid who sang even louder than my ex-maid. So loud I could hear her from my closed bathroom. No accompanying music so not karaoke. ๐Ÿ˜„

Don't waste water. Just shout \"Mata lai liao, mata lai liao\" or the English and tagalog versions, or just sound a fake siren! :rotflmao:

Wa, these maids really automatic hor? They're actually so noisy till ppl call the police? Nobody complains to their employers?

Yeah, in my neighbourhood, I also see maids that are supposed to walk the dog, exercise their lips instead of their legs. Some hardworking ones will actually walk the dogs, but most will chit-chat with other maids or talk on the phone.
          Happy Mama:
By the way, my behind neighbor's maid is very nimble and can climb up ladders to talk with left, right, front etc... or sit on 2nd or 3rd floor parapet and chit chat while swinging her legs.
All the housework has made her very fit! ๐Ÿ˜„ But quite dangerous sia ๐Ÿ˜“ . I think it's the nature of pinoys to be very friendly and socialble, that plus the fact that they are in a foreign land. Somehow, foreign workers just become very loud (Chinese, Indian, Pinoy etc) when they gather together in public places.

Haha, no lah. I just ignored them and threw away flyer... They are just trying to earn extra bucks...

I'll only turn nasty if they try to teach my maid bad. That's something I cannot tolerate.

My friendโ€™s maid has been with her for 10 years and getting $380 only but she is very happy working with my friend. She only needs to take care of a P5 girl, housework and cooking. My friend allow her to work part time with other families (during weekday), i heard she works for 3 houses $360 in total and she also selling SIM cards (she got a strong network leh). She also can take the money when selling old stuffs like newspapers etc to "karang guni".

And if the relationship turns bad, the maid can always report to MOM that ma'am makes her work in other houses - leaving her with little rest.... Onus will then be on employer to prove she didn't know about it.

What to do? Itโ€™s really tough to find a good maid. I also find it a challenge to keep her sane.

If she can find friends to chat with, I wonโ€™t stop her (ex-maid loved to chat with friend a floor down), so long as she dun invite strangers into our house.
