2 set ea of sch uniform as well as PE attire shd be enough for P1 n 2 kids. Unless your kids sweat very easily u might consider 3 set of uniform.

Some sch for boys, they actual dun require PE short during PE lesson, parent, pls check with sch.

          Hi

\"KiasuGrandMaster V\" is just the \"rank\", the nickname is above that 😄

As for school textbooks, some primary school's bookshop are operated by Popular, so there might be no difference between purchasing the textbooks from Popular or the school's bookshop.

Here's a link to the list of schools' bookshops operated by Popular, you have to scroll down...... https://www.popular.com.sg/jsp/main_page/store_location.jsp

You could also visit your kid's school website to check out last yr's booklist. This will give you a gauge of how much the bookshop is charging for the textbook. You can then decide if it's worth it to purchase from Popular. 😄

              kiasu mummy:
Can share how many sets of school uniforms and PE T-shirt to get?

As a general guide, most parents usually purchase two pinafore sets and two PE sets. At times there will be a need for more PE attires cos some schools have 4 periods of PE spread out thru the week, like in my daughters' case. We had no choice but to get two more. They had 1 period of PE every day except for Wednesday. The fourth set, we only purchased after first semester when they somehow grew quite abit. It took 6mths of canteen food to beef my girls up, uh? :scratchhead:

I think ds school also selling socks with school name. Can I confirm it is not imperative to get? or do students gotta wear on certain days?
For schools that have the logos on their socks, it is normally compulsory to get. One school i know; during orientation... parents/children were told that if the students didn't wear the school's official socks, the stuents may need to go to the office to clarify. They must wear socks with school's name and logo by the next spotcheck.

You may need to double check with your DS's school to see if they're anal about wearing only those with school initials or would they also allow a plain one bought from external vendors.

Other items with school initials to ONLY get from school bookshops are the worksheet files/folders, report book, exercise books & pupil diary.

DS’ sch bookshop is operated by Pacific. From last nov, we can buy online then self-collect at a later date in sch. No Q, no hassle as it’s just 10 steps back to the car & everything is packed properly in a sturdy box that I can reuse to keep used books.

I explored Popular (don’t know y, but it didn’t hv DS’ sch booklist so I would hv to fax it to them) so i decided against it bcos the savings (Maybank credit card extra 5% off) will b wiped out by delivery fee or carpark charges (if self-collect), & i will still need to buy specific items (e.g. English worksheets already 1/3 of total cost) from school separately.

There was once i checked the book prices at Popular… the few that the school didn’t have stock for… I brought the booklist to Popular and they suggested i wait for the school’s stock cos theirs is more expensive and they too were out of stock.

Wanted to ask, will the books at popular be the \"older edition\" if there is new edition for next year? I m looking into getting from Popular too, but have that concern in mind.

I tried to order textbooks from pacific online but my kids are in different schools and the ordering doesn’t allow me to order together. I find it quite ridiculous?

Anyone encounter this problem too? Any workaround pls?
                      Thx!
