      Hi Ausbee,

I stay at Telok Blangah area. I’m waiting for the trial class at Leaphouse but they only allow one parent for each session & I find that their class not that spacious too. So was thinking whether there is another options I can consider. Anyway thank you for your reply ")

Hi, I have a baby coming to 8 months. Am wondering if our babies would benefit from the enrichment classes at this age? I am tempted to go for trial classes at Gymboree, kindermusik, etc but my baby don’t seem quite ready to listen to classes? Am worried I will be wasting the trial classes and money…

              Hi Postpet,

I think you should try. Me too, was laughing inside my heart when the teacher showing my DS flash card.. but its really surprise me when my DS could gv a very possitive respond. Just don underestimate them. Go for trial class and see what ur kid like before enrol them to the prog..
Good luck and do share if you found anything good..

              Cheers,
              mamamiya..

                Hi Pospet,

I bring my 9mths old bb to enrichment class. She seem enjoyed herself especially when there is a sing song session & gym session. They can meet others babies too. This will help them to build up their social skill & confident ^^
I agree with Mamamiya, you should try to bring them enrichment class, you will be surprise & don’t underestimate them.

i brought my son to Gymboree for a trial class when he was about 6-7 mths old... he could not follow the class at all coz the rest of the kids are much older.. and somehow I feel that the teachers are not helping at all coz they are just focusing on the other older kids and parents who are more familiar with the routine.. I guess it defers from kids to kids... in the end we signed up for the membership, brought him for the free play time instead and he enjoyed himself much more.

Any reviews for Growing up gifted 8 month old baby programme? Do you know whether they teach Zoophonics for 8 month olds? Also, is there a new GUG branch in Suntec? I dun see it mentioned on their website but I heard that there is one there. TIA!

I tried out a couple of gym classes when my kid was 8 mths - JWT gym and MY gym. They allow one parent only mostly. My kid liked the classes on some days and on others he didn’t so I discontinued both.

I put him in Wee Care @ Polliwogs in the east coast beach whrn he was 12. He really loves it there. Very spacious classroom and engaging teachers. They are not so strict and allow both parents in class at same time.
My friend tried Julia Gabriel - said it was good too. I think their classes start from 6 months. But accompanied by 1 parent.
I also tried GUG - not a positive experience for my kid is all I will say. Plus At 8 months he did not learn much - I could teach him more at home by myself.
Not sure about music enrichment - don’t plan to start till he’s at least 2.
