Hi, my DD is 6 yo and she used to bring up the subject of having siblings citing all her classmates had sibings and she was the only one without any sibling…We din want to try for another one cos my gynae did state very clearly will be another premature delivery due to my health issues…how early no one can tell…since DD was born @32 week and weighing only 1.43 kg…we decided that one is enough and we should feel blessed she is now a healthy and smart girl except she is highly myopic…again doctor claimed could be due to prematurity cos both of us dun have this problem…
Lately, DD told me when someone asked her whether she got any siblings at home and she will reply :"Yes I have one sister and its my dog…" hahaha… -

:hugs: sorry for starting this topic on trying for 2nd one. seems to bring out a lot of bad memories.hello all,
One child for me as well...and unlikely to add on more...turning 46 and DD only 5. DH 53. Tough on both DH and me physically up till recently. Tried having another with medical help but didn't work out. Got pregnant but foetus didn't develop. Had something like miscarriage while living in UK a few years back.
Sad episode for us for not being able to have at least another one. Talked about it with DH once every now and then if we have the courage to defy biological clock. But odd are stacked against us. DH always overseas and me having those crazy hormonal and fibroid challenges.
3 would have been great for us. DH loves kids. But nevertheless we are truly blessed with a gift from God.
Let us cherish our one & only precious DS/DD.

Hello Angelight,I know how you feel, 1amber. :hugs: If it's God's will for us to have only one 'bao bei', we just have to accept it. DH and I are content with our little princess until we learnt that his brother is going to have a 3rd child next year (dragon baby)...life is unfair, right? Some pple can have many kids, some only one, some worse - couldn't have any...

Thanks for your words of comfort. Each time I find out someone I know is pregnant, a lump forms in my throat. But as you said, if one is my lot and not more, so shall it be. I am truly blessed to have a wonderful daughter. Life goes on! Refusing to let myself be down. Have a great Friday!

Although I am copeing much better now, I still get a lump in my throat too. Can't help but feel that its terribly unfair. Feel like a loser too. -
:hugs: I know how you feel...I feel kindda sad too. But don't blame yourself or feel like a loser cos it's NOT our fault. It's all fated or God's will.
