My DD was 13. Her EZ Link card was outta money. She needed some change. She must have looked skinny and forlorn because when she asked for some change, a kindly old man gave her change plus $10 and shooed her into the gate. She tried to return the money but he pooh-poohed her attempts and shoo-ed her away.
A little Malay boy was clutching a bag full of library books at the Customer Service counter of the library. He had lost his wallet with $5 in it. He was frantic and forlorn and the customer service staff shoo-ed him away. I gave him $10 and asked him to go home. The CS staff said that it could be a scam. I thought not. Scams are a regular presence around an area. When I asked if the CS staff had seen the boy before, I was told "No". I was touched that he was so little and had a love for books and looked so panicky… $5 meant everything to him and little to me. I gave him $10 because my DD had $10 from a total stranger. -

1st week in school for ds (pri 1) who was in q to buy food and realised he didnt have enough $$$. told dh who was standing a distance away and surprise surprise, the older boy standing behind ds gave his $$$ to ds :love: . The boy's words were \"take it, take it, we are brothers\". :love:
too bad, i wasnt there and ds cant remember who the boy was .......but we are passing this act of kindness round especially during lunch time.
