There are also schools that require PVs for
their excursions/field trips. Usually lasts the

At Marymount, some PVs followed the girls on excursions earlier this year. Took up half a day each time, though not too sure if it applies to all PVs or selected ones.

Play? To me, excursions is like bring monkeys out of zoo... Wat if I lost one of them? :oops:

went on one excursion (few hours) with them…totally agreed, bringing them out is like bringing bull into china shop. I was so worried that any of them might fall and break something that I ended up shouting for them to stop running. Thank goodness nothing bad happened.


Still the ringing in my ears from the non-stop ‘boys vs girls’ verbal sparring, in the 20 min bus ride, was there in my ears for the next few hours.

Totally had empathy for the teacher after that…

talking about responsibilities. touch wood, what happen if there is an accident happen during my time as lolipop man? You know how kids are like, sometimes it takes more than just rules to keep them away from trouble. Will i be liable?

My husband and I PV-ed once on a Sat (no need take leave) for the school's carnival from 8am to 5pm. CLocked 9x2=18 hours at one go! Hee...

Some schools have those overnight camps, and sleeping hours count as well.

for me, during my PV, it were the parents and the drivers that give us headache. The children were well behaved and follow our instructions, even when they are late. Those who dashed acrossed the road when we signalled them to stop, were ironically, urged by their parents. :stupid:

Hi all, just another question.. Am I too late to apply for PV if I need to register for P1 next year (P1 in 2011)?


Coz from what I see from MOE, I'm supposed to start PV no later than July 2009 and clock at least 40hrs b4 June 2010 to qualify. But when I asked the school, they told me I was still in time for the PV? :?
