I still have fond memories of the Red Swastika when it was situated in Changi. The sch field was our playgroud. The toilets behind was like a hauted house to me.The swing that moves by itself........... the delicious black noodle with sweet sauce, I just could not find the same taste again. The first time I stand in front of the whole school during a story-telling competition, with a shivering tone and wobbly legs......... ahh...time flies.....

My CCA group in secondary school’s days, loved to go hiking. We hiked everywhere possible. I had been to P Ubin so many times that I did not need to use map then.

Out of so many hikes, there is 1 particular hike that i will never forget.

Someone came up with the idea that we could hike the "green corridor" from Tanjong Pagar to Woodlands. Yes, hike the railway track. And this was years ago, and trains was still in operation. We were young and naive then, we thought we will be able to hear the train coming and jump out of the way.

So we went. After some hours of hiking, we were complaining that we were so UN-lucky to have not met with any train. When lunch time approached, we decided to get off the tracks at the Hillview Road. Back then, there were some old HDB blocks with coffeeshop there.

As the last person moved off the track, we heard a train whistle, turned and saw the train zoomed past us. All we could do was looked at each other in shock, couldn’t believe how dumb we were and how close we came to make the next morning’s frontpage news.

We went home early that day. No one had appetite for lunch.

Remember everyday after the dismissal of the assembly in the evening,

(we used to have the morning and afternoon classes),
me and another schoolmate will start running out from the side gate along the
road out to orchard road to catch bus No 14 before the swarm of school gals
crowded the bus stop. We are the 2 schoolgals that happily got our seat in the bus home way ahead of the other. πŸ˜‰
Our bus journey home is about 45min to an hour so we want to be
home before it turn dark :hi5:

I remember I loved playing rounders during my primary school life. A few of my classmates and I would go school earlier to play the game at a far corner of our school field.

Once I was sitting on the grass under a leafy tree while my classmates were playing the game. The ball was hit and flew into the leafy tree and the ball just dropped down infront of me and landed nicely onto my hand ... and all of us were laughing as I was like Newton who experienced apple dropping down from a tree.. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
