My kids enjoyed the cupcakes from 12 cupcakes too. But a question from this cupcake newbie. Is cupcake suppose to be more on the dense side or the more on the soft side? I guess the important thing is that my kids enjoy them but just wanted to know what it's suppose to be like, traditionally. TIA.

Cannot differentiate between cupcakes and muffins.

Muffins are denser than cupcakes. Cupcakes are more cake-like.
