            MintyMin:

So meaning to say.. no interest shown on them.. but u juz decide for them? 😄

I wan to noe coz been tinking wat to let my kids learn.. sis is a piano teacher.. n has a piano at mum's plc.. so if i wan my kids to learn frm her.. i haf no worries at all.. it is jus a matter of interest tat i m more worried abt.. i dun like to b forced to pick up a hobby.. tatz y to me it is impt tat my kids love it or has interest in piano b4 i decide for them to learn..
I believe that in a person's life, it's good to have art/arts to nourish their \"artistic soul\". I \"force\" DD to learn violin not for DSA and also not expecting her to excel like a professional. It's just something to anchor her. You might wonder, how could she enjoy the process / experience when I \"forced\" her. She's enjoying playing it, now that she gets the hand of it. heehee

For a child to show interest, the child must be exposed to the \"thing\" in some ways.

This is my way of thinking, when they are young, try to expose them to many experiences. Just like science thing, I',m not planning for her to become a scientist, I just want her to be more aware. Which is why I bring them to museum, which my DH will *yawn*. It's not about how much they understand but that they are aware of things beyond their typical experiences. Very lor soh liao. heehee

It's never too late to start 😉

I will bring them to those places more than once, because at different ages, they appreciate the visits differently
