i heard tat from my kid tat one of her friend got into the 2nd round but only got the certificate of participation and other kid did not get into 2nd round but got honorable mention. So funny?

mine had a fren who got into special round and got a bronze…so looks like no guarantee of silver even if into 2nd round

Yes, no guarantee of silver at special round. There is a small % that will get bronze if you calculate the numbers (400+ participants for special round). But to get certificate of participation after going thru 2nd round is not possible......I think there is a misunderstanding there - maybe the kid did not even go 2nd round!

For those selected for special round, do they use both the results for first round and special round or just the special round result to determine the medal?

Looks like there has been some modification to the SMO (Senior) top 30 list…

one more name has been added, making the total 31?
not sure if there are changes in the other lists too…
so they do re-mark the papers sometimes?

Not possible. Probably the kid didn't get into the second round.

yeah, i think that girl is quite smart so my girl has assumed that smart girl has entered into the 2nd round.
