Oh dear, Aug is coming to an end soon... Alamak! Gotta act fast!

Last wk the sales quoted me 9.2k for U1 still very steep for me . Wonder the price will be different for branches or the sales have some freedom to give discount?
-
During yamaha sales, U1 should be going for around $8.6k. Prices seems standard across all branches since they share the same promotion flyers

If I recalled correctly, U1 ever sold at mid $8K during one of its sales.
Really depends on which model they're 'pushing' during that sale, then that model would have greater discount than other models -
I see so any idea of the sale ending this mth ? I went to branch last wk but the sales din mention it

Hi engp9337,
One way is to leave your phone number with the sales staff and have them sms you whenever they have sales. I recalled receiving periodical sales info from Yamaha via sms.
Have you visited the showroom at Plaza Singapura? Besides the pianos on display, try asking the sales staff (a guy, if I'm not wrong) to let you try out the higher range pianos such as the YUS series. No committment required and it enhances the piano shopping experience.
As far as I know, it's not easy to get further discounts in terms of cash as a walk-in customer. However, you may try requesting for extras such as one or two more tuning sessions or a piano cover. The sales staff is more likely to oblige to such requests.
I believe Yamaha students are given further discounts on the promotional prices. So, if you know of any Yamaha students, you might consider approaching them (or their parents). There is also this Yamaha membership card (which can be applied over the counter for a fee) that entitles the card holder to 5% (or is it 10%?) discount on books & accessories in the store. But I am not sure if it extends to piano purchases. -
hi, chamonix
Thanks a lot for your great information. -
Thanks again, starz, for the heads up on the sale!
Went to PS Yamaha branch the past Mon, and managed to get a Clavinova at sale price. Apparently, it's their National Day promotion.
Heard from the sales staff that there'll be promotion for the acoustic pianos in Sept. So those looking for brand new acoustics might wanna keep a lookout!
