Mine is only at P2. They don't memorise good phrases but have spelling on most weeks. They also have regular compo writing and student are not allow to bring back the compo. They will have to do it on the spot.

Can't really describe how they teach compo, but my dd enjoy the classes since K1. The compo length is also longer than the school standard. They use a lot of nice and good phrases but they don't get kids to memorise them.

                  Hi Trapwithin,

How does this centre compare with others like Tien Hsia or Jiang? šŸ™‚ Have you seen their materials? I am sourcing for a good chinese centre for my nephew. His chinese is quite bad. Not sure if busybees would be too difficult for him.

If he is struggling in school then it might be too difficult for him .. IMHO.
Try Tien Hsia, Jiang or others. Those I have never try them, mine was in Busy Bee since K1.

The material of Busy Bee for their Chinese Composition is the best so far as I did compare other tuition centre material and it really no fight. My boy was with them from P3 ~ P6 and he still can survive till now Sec 3 taking HMT in school. If you got the budget, please go ahead to invest it especially if your kid is a keen learner, I assure u no regret. I did recommend to a friend of mine whose girl in RGS totally no interest in MT and guess what after attend Busy Bee, her girl is always top of the class and her PSLE - A*.
