        That depends on individual.
Both my husband and I are christians so most of the time when we meet difficult situations, we pray and ask God to help. We both understand there is a limit to man's effort but with God all things are possible. Eg, when our child's fever is high, seen doc, took medication, still high, we relied on God for healing.
As for me a homemaker with three children and no maid, I draw strength by reading God's word and also get encouraged by other women's testimony. The \"power of motherhood\" teaching I have benefited greatly cos it also gives me easy handles to practice on a day to day basis. Eg. homeschooling while they are young so that mother and child bond is tightened etc.

sahm tan, do you mean to ask her if it’s ok for you to attend her sessions even if you’re not Christian and don’t wish to convert?

susan, can PM me the details too?

              Hi Angelight,

I am starting a christian series called \"Power of Motherhood\" to new mums or mothers who wishes to know how to balance between being a wife, a mother and homemaking. If you are interested or have friends who are keen, pm me.

You are welcome to bring your children along if you can't find babysitting arrangments.

So far I have moms who booked:
Sat afternoon (1 pax), Tues afternoon (2 pax), weekday morning (1 pax)

Once I have 2-3 per session, I will start.

Let me know soon. You can add me at facebook (Susan Lim Yap) or email me [email protected]

              Thanks!

                      :welcome:
Saw your posting at another thread. How old are your kids now?

Before I left my job, my dd1 wasn't close to me because I hardly get to see her due to my job commitment. I could tell she always want to escape whenever I tried to carry her. Very 心痛 and that's what prompted me to stay home. Takes a lot of time to bond. Quality time is bs. It's all about quantity time when come to child raising.

Don't fret, given time, your children will stick to you like super glue, jiayou 😉

                        Hey ladies

Visited a bookshop yesterday and dd2 noticed an entire row of parenting books. She gazed at those books so I told her those are for parents, her books are over at the other side. She smiled at me and said she knew those are adult books and added that I don't need to read those books. Naturally I asked her why? She pointed to one of the titles 'how to raise happy kids' and said she's already very happy.

Arh...it's moment like this that makes me feel staying home is so very worth it :snuggles:
