And my agent asked me to let the maid cook to keep her occupied. Like that, how to let maids cook? Correct them, and they put stuff in your food. There’re so many ways for them to get back at us!

I think most importantly is to find a good maid, if the maid is not performing and you find her suspicious, better change. No point keeping her and everyday have to be worried what kind of funny stuff she’s going to do. If you observe properly, not difficult to find those maid that might do something funny. E.g. my ex-maid likes to ask question like "do you have CCTV at home", "how much are you earning", "what’s the exchange rate of Malaysian ringgit", my babysitter told me she suspect the maid stole money but i thought she’s over suspicious, worry too much, but in the end the maid was really stealing and all her questions had a motive behind.

If your maid give you black face or not willing to change after you scold her, better change her, this kind of maid normally will hold a grudge.
We are fortunate that in SG, is easy to change a maid, at most you only lost the insurance and levy, unlike Msia, they got to pay thousands admin fee if they want to change maid, thus my friend got to bear with her maids even she’s not doing the work…

true, true... So what I did was that I would actually distribute/serve the food to everyone, including the maid. And I check to see if the maid actually eats the food. So if the maid wants to be funny, she will have to eat whatever it is that she put in as well...

hi kiasubox, your babysitter is really sharp! It really helps to have another person’s opinions!

Heard that the costs for hiring in Msia has increased again.
