      sometimes 'sacrifice' 5cts bought pineapple drink with a few chunks of the fruit in it or bandung drink. My pocket money was 20cts every day :oops:

          I think my mee soup was 20 cents. Can't remember already.

            My Prince Smarty- he top the cohort stand next to me every morning for the flag raising in Guillemard primary school.
            ( the school is not around now :sad: )

                i remember all the skinny kids were given a cup of hot milk to drink daily. i love the taste of it.

                  back in the my pri sch days, 1 cup of orange juice cost 10 cents & 3 fishballs also cost 10 cents…


                  and the sch bookshop always sell those fanciful erasers…

                    i remember those triangular milk packets!! i liked the pink one most - strawberry.. the chocolate one is not bad.. but i hated the original flavor..


                    when i was small our family is very \"cheena\" and my english vocab was really bad. i always thought of the \"prefects\" as \"Pui Fat\" and wondered why must they be called by such a fat name.. (in hokkien pui is also fat)... πŸ˜“

                      not every child could speak English or Mandarin at that time so I remembered 1 classmate who would always told teacher: I want to go pan-sai/pan-jeo and teacher would waved her hand and asked him to go quickly :evil:

                        many things has changed but one thing still remain unchanged is the sweat smell...... now whenever i fetch my dd after her cca she reminds me of that smell.....
