Ohdaddy, I agree with Gin. The bus would go straight to HV, and if you are the first few stops, your girl may be home by 7.15pm even?

we always tell her we know she's doing her best :grphug:
As for cooking....no lah! With all the running about i am donating 300 sticks of fishballs only!!!What cuisine?!  its the most fuss free food item that i can think of..just order from market, toss in oven and get kids to help me poke the fishballs!!!Ha! :imcool:
Finished cleaning, baking goodies and decorating, tomorrow cook some simple hari raya dishes and buy some flowers and iron the new clothes then i'm all done!!!
Happy holidays everyone!!! :rahrah:
Havent' been online for the last few days so....here's wishing you a belated Hari Raya. Hope it was a fun and memorable event for you & your family.
It's really a great idea...getting the kids to help out with poking the fish balls...great family bonding!! Just remind your DS not to throw them out after you finish poking all the fish balls... :rotflmao:
You're donating 300 sticks of fish balls....okie...I can help you.......EAT. Will definitely be at the Fun Fair to look out for your fish balls. When you know which stall is selling them, let us know ya. :rahrah:
Your DD is truly a gem. I think she's done a fantastic job adapting to sch and you should be so proud of her achievements. The important thing is she has done her best and she's happy at sch. :please: -
jesyeo:
Hi jesyeo,Hi Tinkerbelle,
For tmr Teachers Day celebration, are the gals allow to bring presents for the teachers? Will they have the time to pass the presents to all the teachers?
Sorry, just saw your post today.
Yes.... the gals are allowed to bring presents for the teachers for Teachers' Day. They will usually have Teachers' Day celebrations in the morning as a sch, then head back to their respective classes with their form teachers...so they'll have time to pass presents to the teachers.
Did your DD enjoy her first Teachers' Day celebration at MCS? -
LLX04:
Hi LLX04,Selamat Hari Raya to you and ur family. Lucky for the kids can enjoy Hari Raya fully this year since they don't have school much this week and its post tests break. I remembered my gal still has Chinese spelling on CNY week.
Ur gal is definitely more hardworking than my gal who takes it easy and seldom score full marks for her spelling.
Keke...slow and steady wins the race...so not to worry, your DD will 'bloom' and score full marks. :rahrah: -
michyms:
Hi michyms,
Tinkerbelle, that is \"so near yet so far.\" I guess it's because the bus goes round and round all the blocks and your friend stays at a further end of AMK. I am even thinking of moving to Bishan from AMK in future, if necessary.Tinkerbelle:
Yes Gin, you still have plenty of time to decide and work out the best options for your DD. Just to share, friend's DD lives in AMK and only reaches home at 7.50pm by sch bus so in the end, my friend decided to fetch her instead.
I totally agree with you....\"so near and yet so far\". Yes, the bus does goes round and round AMK and my friend stays near Mayflower Sec sch so her DD is the 1st to get on and the last to get off....so she's usually super hungry by the time she gets home.
If you are not at the far end of AMK, I'm sure your DD won't get home that late.

Gin:
Hi Gin,Hi michyms and Tinkerbelle,
I am staying just close to the Cheng San CC. so I can imagine my DD2 may be the last one to get off the school bus.
BTW, michyms, did you receive my email?
Maybe you would like to call the sch bus operators to check with them the exact time for your location. If it's not too late, you can still consider the sch bus. I remembered my friend trialed one of the AMK bus routes for a month and decided it didn't work for her. That's another option for you to consider.

ohdaddy:
Hi ohdaddy,
Yeah I was thinking that can't take school bus too from what everyone here is sharing. I live near Holland and by time the school bus sends her home IF there is one that comes around, it would be 9 pm. Like that sure gastric my kid! :slapshead:Gin:

Don't think your DD will get home at 9pm.
There is a bus that plies Farrer Rd so I guess it should go to Holland as well. If you are concern about your DD being hungry, you can always pack some light snacks for her to eat on the bus. I've seen many gals eating on the bus as the buses leave the sch.
