      Hi Kaitylynnangelica,

      U mean your daughter is unwilling to switch schools? Which school is she studying in now? But I find CS quite ex.

      I enquired about their playgroup. If it is 3 x a week for 2 hours each time, it is $900. So I'm still considering. The other thing is they don't have a morning playgroup.

      Oh yes..................my gal unwilling to switch schools. She is now in Faith Montessori and I am paying $575 a month. 3 times a week is $425 a month. But they also organise holiday programmes for her. I also felt it was better value for money than CS. She has 1 hr of chinese, 1 hr of English and 1 hr of Montesesori which teaches maths and phonics everyday. Another one hr is snack time and outdoor play.

          To me Faith is very expensive but I think it is more reasonable than CS. There are 3 Faith locations, Dunearn Road, Hillview and Mt Sinai off Holland Road.

          Have you tried Superland Montessori in Ganges Avenue?

                  There is this new Childcare at Alexandra Road called Odyssey. Heard somewhere that it is actually Learning Horizon subsidiary. Since it is new, I guess no one can give any info on how is the place. But can Chief Kiasu or anyone give any comment on this place? My two year old son is attending Moral Childcare for several months and although it is quite good, I do not think it is very good as a kindergarden so I am presently considering of changing. I already have two options at the moment; 1st is Carpe Diem and the other is Lorna Whiston both co-located at Alexandra. Wondering if should include Odyssey as another option. Any help guys...

                      Tks Mincy,

                      Any idea if it is good? It cost $1,300 for Full Day before subsidy so it better be. But then again Mindchamps cost just as much but they are more of a marketing agency rather than an educational place.

                      I might go and check out the place soon. So before that anyone with any info please update me. Tks a zillion…

                        eah, I was quite tempted but the price tag is really high. one of the staff at the arthur road one tell me that they went to Italy to observe some famous education method while they were planning for the new center...did some googling and found this :

                        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggio_Emilia_approach

                        \"The city of Reggio Emilia in Italy is recognized worldwide for its innovative approach to education. Its signature educational philosophy has become known as the Reggio Emilia Approach which many American preschool programs have adopted. The Reggio Emilia philosophy is based upon the following set of principles:

                        Children must have some control over the direction of their learning;
                        children must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing, and hearing;
                        children have a relationship with other children and with material items in the world that children must be allowed to explore;
                        and children must have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves. \"
