What is the career path for subjects chosen?
-
Hi All,
My DS studies in one of the IP School and come sec 3, he needs to choose between Humanities and Maths & Science. May I know what are the career paths for selecting Humanities or Maths & Science. Please advise. :?:
Thank you.

it is easier to switch to humanities from math/science at Pre-U or uni…but will be very difficult to switch from humanities to math / science if later found to be boring…math/science offers wider choice of careers in math/science as well as humanities but will be difficult for humanity grad to do a career in science

that is no difference from any one doing econs at JC1....no one has any advantage as don't think any one has any chance to do econs between year 1 - 4. everyone starts at the same starting line...but if one were to take econs in uni year 1, then they would find it boring repeating what has been done during JC1-2/year 5-6 -

I don't think Economics per se is that difficult in A levels. It's more because it's a new subject and the students haven't got a handle on it. -

Is it? They repeat the topics in uni yr1? .. Then tt would be boring ...,[/quote]They have to go through the fundamentals again. Your son will find that alot of what he's doing at S1 and S2 he would have done in GEP too. :evil:verykiasu2010:
