Q&A - P1 Math

was browsing thru the math olympiad yest @ Times... seems that the topics doesnt follow the P1 topic by topic... chapter 1 already covered various topics, like addition, time telling & problem sums...


i myself gt 1 question wrong when i tried..

eg: 5 8 3 4 6

u hv to add from left to right (with lines drawn to show the combination)
so i took 5 + 6, then 8 + 4, ... the instruction is something like that lah

i thought since 3 dun hv partner... i omit that number out... sekali... my answer wrong... the answer included 3... so is 11 + 12 + 3 = 25

i answered 23... :oops:

:slapshead: like that i can do wrong liao.... then more complicated topics how... i think i will fail terribly...

This is Maths Olympiad, so the standard would be higher. Don't be so hard on yourself.

HI Mummies,

There are so many titles of assessment books now...if need to buy, have to ask around which ones are helpful. Daughter told me her teacher started on Models. Need to take out the book on heuristics to revise and also introduce her to Models this Sep holidays. I have this title by Simon Eio...yet to 'open ceremony'.
