So, vlim did you get your set?
I had called Jeremy on sat, he said will delivier first week holiday.
Called him again yesterday, said either today or tomolo. Its already tomolo, no papers yet. :roll:
Since I've placed an order, guess I need to wait even though it is available in the malls. :slapshead:

Anyone in the north area received the papers thru jeremy delivery?

I'm picking up from Thomson Plaza / Toa Payoh tomorrow instead of ordering and waiting for delivery.

I called him, he asked where do I stay, and instructed me to get from the nearest vendor instead.

I remember the teachers saying NEVER attempt a ming ti compo unless your Chinese is really really good, ie students from China.

Yup that's what my DS was told by his teacher.

Yup that's what my DS was told by his teacher.

But mine says his teacher encourages all of them to do Ming Ti .

30-34 for CL compo is already very good. My DS is doing at 27-30 range only, unless with a title he has done before, he may then hit the 30-34 range. He has even gone \"out of context\" before, and ended up with 8 marks only :shock: :yikes:

Just curious was that 命题作文 ?

DD teacher advise them to go for picturing 作文 instead of 命题作文 for normal CL!

DD's teacher also discourage them from doing 命题作文.....She said that it's easier to write out of context.

Furthermore, it seems harder to score well in compo these days. Need a lot of good phrases plus cannot write out of context.

Hi Tinkerbelle,

Yes, somebody had told me to have min. 8 good phrases in the CL comp. so as to stand a chance for getting above 32 marks!

So hopefully they can complete 5 - 10 minutes earlier and have time to scan through and add in the appropriate phrases to pull up the grade!

Yes, I heard that too but DD said sometimes it's hard to come up with 8 phrases under exam conditions...keke... and finish CL compo in time. I told her to just try her best.

Hopefully, our kids will get topics that they are familiar with during PSLE. That way, sure can complete compo in time and still have time to check. :xedfingers:
