            Thanks Tianzhu for the solution. Maybe this might be easier, as I coundn't figure out the rotation myself... :?

            Given the 135 degree, angle ODB = 45 degree.
            If you draw a line joining OT, angle OTE = 45 degree (half of 90 degree of square) . This straight away give OT = DB.
            And the rest of the calculation applies..

              I agree with you as the quadrilateral can be easily proved to be parallelogram, thus OT=DB.

                  what is the answer, 8/17 or 17/8,and why

                    eg. May has $2 and Jane has $3.
                    Question : What fraction of Jane’s money is May’s?
                    Answer : 2/3
                    Question : What is the fraction of Jane’s $ to May’s?
                    Answer : 3/2
                    so just need to remember after the word is is what you want.

                        Question from nanyang sa1 2011 paper 2 q15

                        Mr Yama went shopping and bought 8 shirts from the first shop. Then, he bought 3 more identical shirts at $42.59 each from the second shop. The average cost of all his shirts was decreased by $1.50. What was the total cost of the 11 shirts?

                        Anyone done above question before please help cause I do not have the answer
