I'll be going with my husband :).

My DD has a very small role, but decided that we should go and give her some moral support anyway.

Is your girl one of the flowers on the left?

          Yep! That was her.

My husband and I were very disappointed with yesterday’s performance. We felt that there was an obvious lack of imagination and creativity.

There was one class, where some kids just stood there and wave their hands left and right the whole time.

And for 2A and 2B’s performance, the stage was just overcrowded with kids.

I think the school needs to look for a better drama school.

Ha! Ha! Probably you didn't attend last year's performance? If you had, you might not have complained. This year's performance is an improvement over last year's. So, if you think this year's performance is not good, imagine what it was like last year.

Well, maybe you can suggest it for the good of the school, rather than benefit your girl, because there won't be any Speech and Drama for P3s next year.

              HI hi,

I do agree with you. The drama show is not that fantastic.Kids do not display much of their talent.Agree with your point of 2A n 2B portion, over crowded with too many kids. It show split into two part in the show.

Yes I agreed that 2A & 2B is such a big group. When the curtain open up, I thought I am watching National Day Parade contingent again! The one I enjoyed most is the Sunflower, very interesting as compare with the rest of them.

By the way, how come the school do not consider to have a speech & drama in chinese. In this way, can let children to have more interest in chinese. Nowadays, the time use in chinese in school is very limited.

I spoke to my boy's MT teacher yesterday, and he said that the English Dept had a bigger budget than the Chinese Dept. Hence, they can only offer Chinese Speech & Drama as an enrichment program.

But your boy was one of the three main characters, right? 😉 So, you should be very pleased to see him on stage.

                      Hi QMS,

Actually i was there last year too and it was equally bad. I thought it was because they were only P1. Now i’m convinced that it’s the drama school that’s sub standard.

 So, it's a blessing in disguise that the school will not be introducing Speech & Drama for P3s next year? 😉
