        ya kiasimi, indeed!

hope our kids all get great teachers!

and yes, it is really nice that the teacher gave out his email to us parents in a letter at the beginning of the year. since then, it is our most frequent mode of communication, although the PTM is also really good for more in depth updates. I also have his hp no but i try not to use it because I think the teachers are busy enough! Anyway, email is enough.

my ds1 is also in neighbourhood school. my mil visited before, said it looks lousy compared to elite school, lol. but my son loves going to school everyday, plus it is so near. so we are very happy and satisfied too, don't care lah.

Wow your ds1's teacher is so good, so willing to share his contact info, even his hp. You are a very nice and considerate parent, yup, teachers are busy enough, we should try not to disturb them as far as possible and we must also respect their privacy. Like you said, email is mostly sufficient.

Hey, the most important is the happiness of the kid and whether he / she enjoys going to school. Since your son is so happy in the school, its very good already! Proximity is also very important to me, my son's school is just next to my flat actually! haha.

          Hi all,

Really important to have good teachers.. ..
My DS had a 'weird' transferred teacher for the first half of this year..
parents complained so hard till Principal 'bopian' change one..
          Was really glad .. 😓
auntieM, glad to hear your voices were heard and the necessary action was taken!

haha, just curious, what sort of 'weirdness' did this transferred teacher display?

            Hi kiasimi,

She's rather lost and totally not in control, days were spent worksheets and books hunting. Besides, she screams all the time and the boys really hated her...
Principal wanted parents to co-operate and give her time.. ..
DS's classmates didn't want to attend school and parents start giving pressure..
My boy managed to stay out of her way so I just stood by and 🙏 ..
Really heng .. ..rumours that parents threatened to 'blow things up' that's how..
Good/Popular school without good teachers still won't do de.. 😉
