:scratchhead: i dun quite get it as in\" However, it is preferred that she had been taken up Guzheng w the Alumni BEFORE taking it up as school's CCA when she is P3\". I am not sure what you mean by take up Guzheng with the Alumni. How can she take up Guzheng with Alumni if P1 student cannot select CCA yet? or does it mean she has to take up Guzheng outside as in cc as she has has now for wushu?
Guzheng is offered by Alumni during weekends to P1 students onwards.Vevey:
so my girl must take up the wushu before she is eligible to select those listed in Section B. Is there other alumni cca other than wushu before she can select those in Section B? I am not very keen for her to join the school wushu as she is currently learning wushu in the cc and the wushu school in nan chiau is different from the wushu school in the cc
She doesn't hv to take up Alumni's Wushu b4 selecting any of those in Section B.
However, it is preferred that she had been taken up Guzheng w the Alumni BEFORE taking it up as school's CCA when she is P3.
Likewise for violin.
Concert Band in Section A does not hv such preference.
Section C's Alumni Wushu is just a CCA recognised by school but offered thru the Alumni.
During Orientation, u will b given a detailed booklet of all the enrichment classes by Alumni.

Hi Vevey,
Thanks for your information. will keep a look out for for the booklet. by any chance do you know for the string ensemble, is it learning of the string instrument as in violin? cos i am thinking that if the enrichment for string ensemble is the learning of playing violin, then i will not send her for any music class as my girl is bugging me for music lesson. -
larkspur:
Yes, it's violin. U can also choose small group or individual lessons for the enrichment progam.Hi Vevey,

Hi,
Parents with children already studying in nan chiau, are your kids enjoying themselves or finding it too stress? Am planing which pri school to place my boy (born 2009) in, nan chiau is my 1st choice for sure but worried it may be too stress for him, also worried not able to get a placement through phase 2b. Thus now starting to plan first.
Any advice is greatly appreciated! -

My girl is enjoying herself too.
The ‘homework’ from home is way more more more than school… hahahahaha…
Just yesterday, she enthusiastically dressed like an artist for us to take picture in preparing her class speech presentation ‘My Ambition’ ^^ -
Thanks for your replies!
Just wondering did u guys do Parent Volunteer work? What was required from you as a PV?
Many thanks! -
No idea on PV… maybe other parents who went through this route can advise.
