do any of u have 3 young kids and able to cope without maid and parents?

            Hi 24hr-mum,

Is there a reason for this thread under \"Help Wanted\"? Are you looking for a maid?

If you are simply seeking opinions, then you might find the thread http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=5331 to be very informative.

If there's no objection, this thread will be merged with \"All About Life Without Maids\".

I'm a FTWM. As for tuition, we only do it on weekend. We're still juggling on tuition. My DH and I split to ferry them for tuition but so far only English. Still trying to find a tutor for chinese. Preferably someone who can come to our place at reasonable cost. Other than this, the kids attend music and swimming together.

As for cooking, I tried to cook dinner on most week days nite. I'll cook soup in the morning and reheat for dinner. I'll add on with grill or stirfry dishes. I must mentioned that my DH helps me a lot with the housework. Thus, it helps.

1st time I was maidless for 6 months, my kids were 7 and 3. I had a part-time maid come in 2x a week and I cooked and worked part-time. This time round, it's been 9 months since I went completely maidless and for good, but I'm no longer working and kids are now 10 and 6.

Yes, when one has a class, all go along. So I always try to fit in classes such that both will be occupied at the same time otherwise will have to drag along story books or homework for the one not having classes.

                    Hi Zann,

I got my rhoomba from http://robovac.weebly.com/index.html
                    It's a 550 series @ $670.00

Then I got my Scooba from http://autovacstore.com/
                    It's the 385 model @ $700.00

If you want the lastest model of Rhoomba 700 series, the local distributor has it but for quite a price tag! $1000+!

You can check them out. Hope it helps.
Thanks fifiyeo. Just to check again, still quite puzzle why a need for both for you? Which one does vacuuming follow-by mopping automatically as it moves around? I used to have one therefore I find this kind of machine very helpful. but it spoils easily as no one attend to it when it gets stuck at home alone then it could not return back to the charging station on its on and spoit. How was your experience like.

                      Hi Zann,

Rhoomba does the vaccuming work almost daily for the entire house. Scooba does the floor washing after Rhoomba finishes about 1-2 a week. Although Scooba does some vaccuming, it’s not really the main function and therefore it doesn’t do a very thorough job.

My Rhoomba is working almost daily since May (coming 5 months) and doing a great job.
My Scooba was commissioned in early June and is serving me very well.
So far, both are doing their share of the job very well and I would say I push my machine maids to their limits 'cos they have to work around the house non-stop at one go every time I decide it’s time to WORK! Only time they stop is recharging or change of battery.

Wish they invent a machine that could literally cook by itself with the press of a button.
