Maths Isnt Fun:
woah that serious... :scared: most of my classmates did that and the invigilator saw but didnt even write in a report or anything! also my classmate sitting beside me kept talking to the boy infront of him! thats cheating and the examiner warned him and guess wad he said? he said: I TALKING TO MYSELF!!!!Pen88n:
Oh yea, some tips for the kiasu parents out there! For paper 2,after like maybe left 5 mins, ask your child to type down her/his answers on the calculator, separating them with a minus sign. Rmb not to press the equals button! And keep pressing the arrow buttons to avoid the calculator frm auto offing and turn the calculator so that it faces the table or else the invigilator might see it. after leaving the exam hall, quickly write yr answers frm the calculator onto a piece of paper.
I think I must add a word of caution on this: actually no paper or information is allowed to be taken out of the exam hall. Doing this might jeopardise the student's position even though no cheating or any foul-play was intended.
DS wanted to do that in order to check his answers with his friends after the paper, but I warned him of the consequences if caught and they decided to go strictly by the book. Remember the kid who took a picture of the front cover of exam paper? He was just being playful but the consequences greatly impacted him. I would say the risk is not worth it, don't attempt!
It can be that serious if they decided to go by the book and make it a warning case for others. Best is to follow the rules and don't take unnecessary risk. Afterall, paper is over and you cannot change the end results - so what if the answers are correct / wrong? Don't look back and do what is needed now: prep yourself for the next paper.
You are very lucky to have a generous hearted (or should I say slack) invigilator. I wouldn't take the risk if I were you. Even if not caught for cheating some bad remarks written is surely not a nice thing.

Ms tay:
Ds is very confident of scoring A*s for both eng and maths . Two more subjects to go .. Hope he can do well for all subjects and get into his dream school, RI .

UncleLim:
Maybe I too should plan for it since DS too is not taking HMT and hence will be free on wed.
Looks like many students in this cohort will celebrate with Johnny English/MrBean/Rowan Atkinson !ngbrdad:
They planned to go and drink both Koi and Gong Cha and watch Johnny English. :imcool:

tisha:
Most i saw joking happily with each other as they walked out. I was reading KSP at that time and expected some glum faces. Hope it's ok!
DS from mainstream neighbourhood school. No one cried. Everyone was OK, not smiling broadly but still OK. -
firefly38:
Hashroop - your DS never smile doesn't mean he won't do well. You must encourage him. 50% journey only.
That was what I told my DS, who is one of the lucky ones who find the Math papers relatively easy, as compared to his school prelims exam, but definitely not to the extent of 'easy like hell' lah (he does not have a super brain lah)!hashroop:
Sorry huh but wat do you feed your DS that he says both papers are easy?
He has super brains!
Fyi, I'm probably one of those parents who is crying my lungs out because my very very dear son didn't come out of exam hall smiling!
Jia-you.. Jia-you!!! :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:
Firefly dear fren - half the journey is over.... May luck continue to be on your DS side next week! :rahrah: :rahrah: -
Ms tay:
What I meant was that my ds strength is mathematics, so I was happy upon seeing him so confident, so I decided to just share my good news with you people. Please be less sensitive. No criticism pls ._.
Congratulations! If I were u, I would b proud of my child as well. My DD might not get full marks, but I m just as proud to know that she has done relatively well in the Math exam, based on the answers given.
