Do P5 need to stay back in school to do project/assignment frequently?

For ISO - IVP project, need to stay back to meet mentor, presentation & seminar. Not sure about the other ISO like IRS. I believed DI needs to stay back quite a bit.
As for other project/assignment, I don't remember need to stay back. Most were done at home. Of course if got competition, then need to stay for competition.

GEP program buries the talent that matures later in life.

Not all children with high IQs are successful, and neither are all those who are ‘hopeless’ condemned later in life.

There are variety of factors which causes the person to be successful, hardwork, people skills, resources, IQ is just another factor.

The stress should be on all rounded education, like building up the person’s self esteem, people’s skills, etc.

25hr mama:
Zann:
Hi to all....

Juz like to check whether other schools has the same practice. Before the Investigative Math Test, my dd's class was given a practice paper. They were asked to write their answers on a separate sheet of paper. The teacher went thru the paper with them, after that all question & answer sheets were collected back, & the teacher told them that all papers would be shredded. Today the teacher gave the actual test paper back to them, went thru the paper & again collected back.
I am puzzled. Isn't it weird!? We as parents do not even know what our kids are learning & tested in schools.

Hi 25 hr mama, which level is your dd? I asked them before and they said it is MOE direction. Anywhere, so long as my ds can cope, I am glad to rest 🕺 But think of it this way, if the kids can't cope, they will have to be responsible and take action right? How I wish all subjects are handled
that way that parents don't need to be involved and can :imanisland:

Hi Zann, my dd is in P4. It wasn't like that for their 1st Investigative Math Test in May. She was allowed to bring back some related worksheets then, & the actual test paper required parents' signature too, hence was a little puzzled over this new arrangement.
Hi 25hrmama, just checked with my dd and found that she had few investigation practice papers prior to the sitting for the 2nd Investigative Math. Only the practice papers are returned to them. This is the same as the 1st Investigative Math Test. So I think it is really depend on the school instruction.
