      HI Plum-cake/Champion,

I try to stick to authors like Andrew Er, Simon Eio and certain publishers like Marshall Cavendish. Any review about this new title ?

      Janet,
I got the P3 one   but no time to do! 😒 😒

There are 3 levels in each topics and I zoom in to study the advanced/challenging ones....Ermmm...some problem sums indicate a 5 marks question and I did pick one or two for DD1 to work on. She able to solve using her own method. I have scan a page for your viewing πŸ˜„

        Hi Champion,

You have that NEW title too ?

OMG, I think your Maths collection must be breath-taking
If I am a teacher with have such hands-on parents, I don't think I need to teach much...just joking. BTW, does this title have 2-step word problems ? That page you scanned has 4 mark questions !!!

          Hi Pen88n,
I think I have made a mistake in my earlier post. :imsorry: I have mixed up conquering Maths with on-sponge Conquering word problems.
Maybe you can check with plum cake as to where to get the conquer maths assessment book or try to find it in popular.

            Hi Champion,

THAT'S the one !!! My friend told me must finish the whole book before PSLE  I wonder if Onsponge & Challenging Maths uses English or Greek. If I have to sit for PSLE all over again, I will definitely fail.
            Damn :stupid:

There's another title called A*Maths Problems written by Federick Ho. Published by Learning Interactive. This is a set of 6 books...Whole Numbers and Decimals, Fractions, Rate & Speed etc. Not sold at Popular...the office is at Bras Basah Complex. http://www.li.com.sg
For upper primary students (in my opinion, P6).
            Hi Janet,
I have the above 2 books. After been through the PSLE with my ds1 last year, I think your friend is right to say that the child must be able to do most of the questions in these 2 books. Many of the difficult questions seen in the P5 and P6 exam papers can be solved using the method used in the book. Maybe you can make use of this nov/dec holidays to look through the book and practice with your child. Just my humble opionion. Hope you do not mind. πŸ™‚

Yes, can't resist when I was in Popular one day and saw it! Plu it is a year 2011 new edition so I was even more temptedπŸ˜‰

  as I mentioned to you all - I am a slow and learning mummy so just hope to \"absorb\" as much problem-solving techniques possible so I can help DD1 in one way or another. Oh yes, I took the pages from the scan pages I e-mailed to my DD1's Maths T for her reference πŸ˜‰

Ok, Janet - I upload a few more problem sum questions for your reference:-

Hi PiggyLalala, sorry to barge in but just want to add that the 2012 PSLE moms would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice you may have. We will not mind ! Will take note and try to make use of this year-end holiday effectively ! Do still continue to drop in here to share your experience with us !
                :thankyou:

                  Hi PiggyLalala,
Pls don't say that...parents with P5s going on to P6 next year will greatly appreciate your advice. The Maths books from Bras Basah came highly recommended. Maybe should start a thread in P6 about PSLE preparation after SA2 πŸ˜‰

However I did not really look through the questions. So could not really comment on them.

                      Hi Champion,

I'll be very selective with Math & Chinese assessment books for my daughter going to P2...might get that assessment. http://i53.tinypic.com/uc7zr.jpg\">

                      Hi PiggyLalala,
That A* Maths is highly recommended by a friend. In fact, 2 of my friends told me the school teacher ordered those books for the class.
My SIL called me last night...told me she will pass me all the P6 assessment books. Just sms-ed her this morning...to pass me everything, guide books or assessment books...her daughter is only child.
