Hey everyone, I'm really new here. In fact, I registered the account only today because I wanted to find out more about Artists Academy Junior. Rather new school I think. Anyone have read/heard/tried the programme? The EMG programme for 3 to 5 looks quite holistic and I'm considering signing my 3 yr-old girl there. (Ok, I'm partly considering it because I came across my friend's FB sharing about some discount they have now  )Comments anyone?

You can read the programme here and give me comments? Really want to start my girl off soon! :rahrah:

      Thanks in advance! 🙂
No experience with it, but the coverage of the programme shown on the website looks quite good, except I would think it's actually more suitable for 18mths-2yo kids.

        Hello phankao,

Thanks for your reply! 🙂 Was kinda wondering if any one will actually reply here. Hm.. you said that you feel it's more suitable for a lower age range? Why so? Or do you have any music programme for children about 3-5 years old that you can recommend? Like you, i agree that the course seems pretty comprehensive.. but just wanting to get more feedback and views about it. Have you sent your kids to such courses before? Can share what to expect?

I sent my boy to something similar, but at Staccato when he was between 17mths to 27mths. It was good, but somewhat lonely bc he tended to be the only one in the class except for a few who would join once in a while for trials or makeup lessons. THe more popular classes were the weekend classes which I usually avoid. My boy is now 3yo.

No offence, I'd just like to ask who is learning to play musical instruments? Or if you're a parent, I'd just like to ask if your dd or ds is learning to play musical instruments. I know how to play the piano, violin and flute, along with the recorder that they make us learn in pri school. I also like to sing.

My family is quite musical, by the way. My mother is a pianist, my father is a conductor and my two elder sisters are violinists. I'm planning to be either a flautist or a pianist.

At school, my CCA is Chinese orchestra. Under chinese orchestra, there is guzheng. I learn guzheng. Who learns guzheng, anyway? 🙂

Wow, impressive! How old are you now?
How do you pace your daily practice session with so many instruments?

My dd2 is learning piano. My dd1 learned piano, guzheng, cello & recorder before deciding on cello. Just one instrument each. Cannot cope with so many 😓

Hi, I am looking for a music school for my 2+ year old girl. is there any good music school in the Woodlands vicinity or in the north like sembawang, yishun, AMK or even CKK area?

                Thanks!

either piano or violin in the long run… i music schools usually start with basic music class first right? Then when the kids reach a certain age, the kids can choose to ‘major’ in a particular instrument…

                    any recommendation? thanks!

My daughter was with MIM (music for the intelligent mind) for a year when she was in K1. They play many different instruments and learn listening and singing. I’m not sure if they have it in the North but they conduct their lessons in the child care center. Would be useful to check their website.
