I’m new to this forum .

My boy is going to BPPS in 2012 .

Now i’m stressing on which student care to put him - the student care nearest to BPPS , does not provide after school care for primary 1 . they only have one way service by sending the child to school in the afternoon .

( Any recommedation of student care with after school care ? - Problem is that i’m a full time working mother , and my job ended at 5.30-6pm . by the time i reach the school , i worried my boy had to wait for me at the gate and i don’t feel good to leave the young boy in school just waiting for me .

Can i check what is the estimated school bus fees from CCK area to BPPS? I am wondering what is the pick up time. Should we use school bus or get my helper to send?

Just received a letter from the school. There is P1 Admin day this coming 17 Oct 2011.

It says in the letter that we are to complete some forms, buy books and uniform.

Anyone going through the P1 Admin day before can share their experience? Do we buy all the books that the bookshop recommended? is it a standard listing of books? What about the uniforms? Do we get that on the same day too? Will it be troublesome if we get the items later?

1) 10 books for $15

2) 10 books for $17


retail price 33.30 for 10 books

3) longman photo dictionary with cd Rom recommended by school
brand new… didnt use

I will buy the books and uniform later, as i will be moving house soon.
Can always get from the school bookshop anytime.

As for uniform, i need to bring her to try out. So will buy at the shop.

My gal will be in 1C class. Anyone child in 1C Class?

my ds will be in 1g…great to know if some1 will be same class as her…is good to have contact no/know the parents of her classmates…

Kids at p1 sometimes do not remember all the instructions of their teachers/things need them to do or follow up…usually the teachers will get them to write in their school diary… however,. what they write may not be complete or simply could not understand what they have recorded… so may need to check with classmate’s parents… this can happen even to my p2
ds… .

Agree with durian0096. They are still too young to handle all these. esp the 1st 2 terms. Slowly they will be trained.


Hope can see more pple post here. We can organise a gathering or setup a contact list for the P1 parents.
