      Hi

Based the premli result ,I have computed x 3 divided by 4 an estimate "T score" for my girl as 255 . Can anyone tell me how close is this computation as compare to the actual result?

As a parent, if happens that the actual result is 255(no A*) + 2(HMT), which school should you consider? NHHS, SCGS or RV?

Note- Her MT only score 84.
      Thanks

Don't think your method of calculation is accurate.

For a start, the full mark is not 400.

The score depends on the performance of the whole cohort, where as your girl score is only based on her own school.

If your girl get 255 + 2, she qualify for both SCGS & RV. Both are good schools. You gotta decide whether you want her to do IP (then go RV) or normal O Level route (then goto SCGS).

I dunno where is NHHS ?

        Cheers

Miss Bean, 255+2 can get you into a number of good schools such as SCGS, MGS, RV, NHHS. If you prefer a SAP school, opt for RV or possibly DHS because 255+2 is only a few points off the DHS COP. If you prefer non-SAP, go for MGS or SCGS.

But if I read your post correctly, you said your dd has no A*? If that’s the case I don’t think that her score would be 255 based on PSLE computations.

Besides the schools listed by jtoh, you may also wish to consider St Nicholas Girls School. I don't know about the other schools, but St Nic seems to value-add quite a bit from the feedback of my 2 friends who have dd there. 😄

Agreed, St Nic is good. Always produce top O Level students !

                        Hi Everyone,

We just came back from overseas due to my husband posting and not aware of the changes in the Singapore’s education system. Can anyone explain what is the difference between the traditional "O" level stream and IP programme offered by schools like ACS, RI etc. Which is better?
