Body found at Bedok Reservoir http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1158324/1/.html
Another body found today. This time, Indian man. -
This is from ST:
The body of an Indian male was retrieved by officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) from Bedok Reservoir early on Monday morning.
Police had received a call at about 8.35am, informing them of a body floating in the reservoir.
SCDF officers found a body floating near the shore when they arrived shortly after. The male casualty was pronounced dead by a SCDF paramedic at 9.22am. The deceased is believed to be Indian construction worker Raman Selvam, 33.
He had been missing since Saturday and was last seen walking into the reservoir on Saturday afternoon. Eyewitnesses said the man refused help from passers-by who had tried to throw him a life buoy.

WCW:
may be people who threw life buoy at him are non-swimmers, and don't want to get pulled in by drowning man...skali end up with two bodies floating, how ?
i am curious how come no one pull him out fr the water or even went into the water to save him?? only throw the life buoy and it is obvious he wont use it since he walked into the water n not fall into the waterconcern2:

Should put barriers at all reserviors. Reservior water meant for drinking!krazy:
noticed that since the barriers have come up at the train stations, deaths have gone up in reservoirs..
so if put up barrier around reservoir ...... then have to put barrier along the whole singapore shoreline later ....... to catch all .....
Aware that they will process the water 1st.... but.... :scared:  -
Are they jumping there cos they’re rather die in drinking water?
-
ah...........................the water there is for us to consume right?
so which is prefer now - new water or water from resv?
:offtopic:
p.s. so what happen to new water? is it sold in bottles in supermarket or already in our tap? :? -
don't forget, in Woodland case, water tank on roof top also got body ...... so put barrier at reservoir no use lah .. can't prevent people seeking to kill themselves ..... they can go to east coast any time
-
Woodlands case is different. It is murder, not suicide. The reservoir’s cases are mostly suicide. Is it the only reservoir accessible by MRT? Wonder if they take the train there or are nearby residents. Bedok reservoir spans quite a big area…
