[Jurong East/Jurong West] Preschools
-
yes, early yrs is at Sunset way.
I called Pandan Calvery. They have vacancies but looks like JCK and PCK are not related any more.
1 teacher to 20 students and looks like slightly better than PCF. -
Hi All,
Took 1 day off from work to survey all the pre schools ard my area… seems like my only option left is Summer montessori if I want a daily session for my son… MMI at Blk 519 is only offering twice a week classes…
Startots and edufarm are all operating from the RC with all the kids in one area… seems really cramp to me…
went to Jurong Calvary Church and the person in charge told me I can only register in 2013… sigh … .a long long way to go -
Peonies:
I saw three new kids joining the second session at Tara @ JP today. Nice to see more classmates for my DD

Hi Peonies,
My son is also in Tara.. and in the 2nd session... how's ur gal coping so far?? -
HI all,
care to share with me more about Tara at JP & Startots @ Jurong West and Talent Plus? My boy is born in 09, seems like he has got many friends here.
I would not recommend MMI for playgroup. I sent him there for trial and didn't have a good impression. Maybe for older children. -
Personally I like Tara’s environment… clean and spacious, gd quality toys… very child-safe… the teachers are great and my son loved them especially the aunty… i hate to take him out of Tara but it’s just tat he is not learning anything …
-
I also deliberated between MMI, Tara, and Summer.
For this age group, looks like these are the limited choices we have? -
seems like it to me… if we are looking at a pre-sch and nt childcare
-
yup, i’m mainly looking at playgroup type of settings, where the kid just goes to socialise and learn thru some hands on and fun manner. just 2hrs in the morning would do.
lack such type around our vicinity i think. or maybe they are there but i don’t fancy most of them except these 3 that i considered more seriously. -

Hi Pinkkitty,
why do you need to withdraw your son from tara? since he is happy and kind of play based. Why makes you say that he is not learning anything? How old is he and where will you be enrolling? -

may i know how old is your child? Where is the summer childcare/preschool?
I spent the past mths sourcing ard..even went to mindchamps or even chiltern house in Mountbatten.. still think that it will be better off to send him to playschool. just that around us there are too many childcares..not many choices for playschool. MMI is just like a childcare, i feel, for the younger ones.
have u been to tara's trial class?
