Wow so fast 2 inches gone! Mine is still intact except slightly cracked, but then again, yours is a teething pup while mine is older... But mine certainly loves her dental chews. Tasty and delicious! šŸ˜‰

Hee hee! I mean teething as in puppies up to 1 year old usually having itchy gums, so they tend to like to chew things. Did you buy him toys? Get soft toys and rubber toys, this way he can chew all he wants. Hard ones, soft ones, his choice. :rotflmao:

I also bought the toothbrush. Green chlorophyll and also the peppermint flavor. Very small so within a few minutes gone. Wow your devour it in seconds?! :yikes: Chewy treats can also relieve their itch since they also chew, but mine is more for the dental health and breath. My doggy is around 3 years old.

My neighbour's dog is 2 years old and merrily chews on the next door neighbour's fit flops and all the sticks in the garden. šŸ˜„ Some dogs just never grow out of the habit.

Funx3, you may want to buy those play pens from Pet Lovers and confine him to a smaller area. By the way, is he completely house-broken and toilet trained? Any accidents? Mine still occasionally pees or poos out of the pee pan, though her preference is still pooing in the park. I use 2 poo bags a day as she poos outside twice a day. šŸ˜‰

My previous dog, at one year old, chewed DH, DD and my favorite slippers / shoes too. :faint:

Thank goodness this new dog doesn't. :xedfingers:

You must be firm with you dog and set rules and boundaries for him before he gets out of hand. Stop him from chewing. If you catch him chewing, pull off the item and replace with the chewable toy. This will teach him that he cannot chew those you took away and that he's supposed to chew on the toy.

I've learnt my lesson from my old dog and am very careful with what I do and say with this new dog now. I've been reading a lot lately too.

Do get hold of Cesar Milan's book and have a read. He's really good! You can also watch his videos on YouTube. Hes known as the Dog Whisperer. DD and I watched a lot to educate ourselves.
