I guess so too.
Should be only among those students that took the test that day at NJC. Thought that is stated on the results report.ngbrdad:
Hi I'm sure those who took the HAST test for DSA this year have received their results and letter from NJC.
Just like to find out is the ranking of the student against the same cohort that took the test at NJC ?
Or against all students who took HAST test from Singapore ?
Or against all students who took the ACER HAST test this year ?
The report is titled NJC HAST.
But never stated clearly whether comparison is against which cohort. -

NJC HAST with the month/year on top....and then goes on in the paragraphs that follow to say \"... shows how the students who sat this test have been ranked ....\" - something like that, right?
So \"THIS test\" should refer to that particular test only, and not against other students in Singapore (taken on different dates???!!! and using different test packages..). -

Yup I agree

Btw just read thru it again.
The level is for middle secondary !!!
Does that mean that this is the test taken by students applying for middle secondary schools in Australia ? -
ngbrdad:
Does it state on the report?

On the website, it says NJC's is for Junior Secondary:
http://www.acer.edu.au/tests/hast-secondary/participating-schools1
If I'm not mistaken, schools like NYGH & PLMGS only used this HAST this year for their Sec 2 students, not for DSA. More like for some intra-school placement. Bc for DSA, NYGH used GAT, not HAST. That's probably why it's classed as \"Middle Secondary\".
However, I'm NOT SURE why SST's test is stated as \"Middle Secondary\"?!!!! -
MGS’ one is stated as middle and senior secondary. Does that mean they take senior secondary at Sec 3? ACSI does junior and middle secondary.

too confusing. haha.
Last time, there were kids who took NJC's test and missed MGS', and MGS still accepted with copies of NJC\"s report. So I'd assume it's the same level. When my boy took NJC & SST's tests, they were essentially the same standard although different tests. The abstract reasoning section ended up being exactly the same even. -
This year’s NJC DSA uses middle secondary level of HAST.

It's stated on the report? I scrutinized my son's. Doesn't say anywhere on the report whether it is primary, secondary or college level. -

Under the name of the student, there is a line that printed level : middle secondary. -
Tomorrow open day .... those interested & have already registered, remember to go down & ask all your questions.
But be more forgiving, the whole thing is being run by the students themselves ...
