Yes, very stress for the parent. One of my dd's classmate gave up of GEP after the June holiday. Went to mainstream. The form teacher told me that the boy did very well in his term 2. But, the parent cannot take it, asked him to gave up.

      Stress!
In such case both kid and parents need counseling .... Yap I would agree tt p4 1st semester is very stressful as parents like me are stress up by the type of assignment/project their kid got to handle ... But my ds and i feel much better after the june holiday break ..

Different kids have different strengths :nunchuk: As parents, we can only celebrate and further each kid's strengths.

Congrats to all kids clear the first round! I think nowadays kids in neighbourhood schools performed quite well, and this gave us a feeling that MOE gave more tickets, which is unlikely possible.

think some parents would only want their child to submit a perfect piece of assignment that’s why they r more stressed.

my wife wo went for some GE talk in a hotel told me some parents were really agitated!

Agitated because the kids were stressed or because the parents were stressed?

I think some parents stress themselves out. My friend whose kid was in a different GE centre from mine was telling me how some parents always helped out with the kids projects, from research, to writing to building the projects.

That is little unfair to those kids who do the projects mostly by themselves yah ... πŸ˜‰

Yes it's very unfair and my friend was quite upset because her son stayed up late nights to complete his project while his friend's father (whose father's profession involves making models) did it for him. :stupid:

Fair or unfair is a matter of feeling. Will be better if we all learn to accept and move on with things in life.
