Preparing kids for P5 in 2011

linden2000, hence we can conclude that the OE compre answer keys for those top school papers are not reliable.
Yes, have found errors before in the answer keys, even for the Maths papers.
But for this case, it's my son who has the wrong understanding of what is required. He thought that every single word has to be paraphrased, for eg there was a burglary, he will try to think of another similar word to replace 'burglary' but since he can't think of any, out of desperation he writes 'robbery' which of course is of different meaning and he loses the marks. That's why he has been failing compre. :stupid: -

New thread should be more active after the kids' SA2. Then you will \"see\" me more in that thread. It's called 'Preparing kids for PSLE 2012'. It's under P6 category.
Hi Janet,janet_lee88:

Hi Ladies,
The thread which I’ve started is called ‘Preparation for PSLE 2012’…it is the continuation of our kiasu-ness into next year.
BTW, can anyone advise if there will be more classes in secondary schools to meet the demand since our kids born in ‘dragon’ year ? -

Oh boy... I am very kiasu then 'cos I started preparing PSLE Chinese last year.
Then I'm definitely not kiasu...hahaha. After all, PSLE preparation starts right after SA2. -

I dare not prepare for PSLE CL yet...struggling with P5 Chinese at the moment...thank goodness he dropped HCL. Didn't expect Comprehension to be so tough.

Hi Ladies,
Very soon, we can 'graduate' from this thread and move to 'Preparing for P6 2012'. Before that, I am going to take 7 days to relax. From preparation of orals and compo...my shoulders are aching. Next week, intensive revision. Told my son we need to ramp up now that Paper I is done, he told me, 'Cannot.' I asked him why not. He told me, 'Because we are not cars, so we cannot ramp up.'
