naggo-nitemare:
Just to add - it's roughly top 3% so they don't set a fixed COP.dagong99:

Where can we find the total no of seats available for each school? I could not find the info in the 'Choose your Secondary School' book.

good question
from what we know, the 4 very popular IP schools take in 450 each, NJC is about 200, NUSH is about 180, other IP schools are probably around 400 to 450 (because there are about 11 of them in total, accounting for those with tscore 250 and above which is about 10% of the cohort, hence 4000+ people in those 11 schools)
other schools seem to have around 7 or 8 classes of sec one, 40 is the class size....the 7 or 8 classes are usually 4 or 5 classes of express and the rest are normal acad/tech classes -

My ds' school has not much activity for them. He has been enjoying playing chinese chess with his classmates though he said also quite stressful as need to use brain juice inorder to win the games

DS is playing both Chinese and English chess. He is happiest when he gets to spend time doing that.
