For sec 1 n 2, E and NA could be using same text books (eg Geog, History) but I am not sure if they sit for the same exam paper. NT is different and may not be doing subjects like in NA and E.

No, different schools use different texts. You'll have to wait until the posting results are out before you buy them. ๐Ÿ˜„

Iโ€™m a little KS also, the transition from P6 to Sec 1 sounds daunting. Apart from adapting to a new environment, still have to balance 7-8 subjects. Would like to know how do parents prepare for this change. Can any parents share some strategies? Are there any courses that cater to such students?

Yes, would like to know too, especially for children who are not high achievers and are slow or poor in time management. TIA.

There is no need to worry. There will be a 1-week orientation for sec 1. The seniors will take good care of them. Some schools also have overnight camp for sec 1 students. By the end of the 1st week, they'll feel at ease and really to start in the new environment.
My dd is in sec 1 this yr. I never prepare her for secondary sch life or having to handle more subjects. Along the way, you can guide the kid to manage her time well. ๐Ÿ˜„

                      NO....u can't buy now....diff schools diff textbooks/workbooks
for IP schools, for some subjects, they even have their own textbooks and workbooks printed.

frankly, i did not prepare my gal for her sec 1 at all.......
many do not do it too......
the kids would slowly but certainly able to adapt and integrate into their new sec school,
with the help of the school orientations/camp and seniors.....

dun worry too much.....it's part of their growing up....
juz enjoy, play and rest well during the dec holidays as
they will have very , very little time for themselves and their family
when school reopens, esp in an IP school......
