According to my boy, today's marks checking day. Over the weekends, he was still doing sch assignments, working on SPIRE, etc. He says like normal sch days even though major tests are over.

JH3 subj selection form submission due soon. He's chosen Adv Lit and Physics. Told me no one in his class takes this combi.

Advanced Lit and Physics is an unusual combination. For the JH3 subject combis, how many subjects do the students choose aside from the core subjects?

1) will there be a major class reshuffle in JH3 ?

2) will their boarding room mate be still the same person ?

Can I know when our kids will take the O Level MT for the purpose of exception in A Level ?

They talking MT or HMT ?

I asked the MT teacher & she told me oredi & I forgotten now. This is my fault !

JH3 class reshuffling: I think there shld be some reshuffling, given the subj combi difference, but understand from my boy that there is only 1 Adv Lit class. Also many students are taking Phys & Biology combi. So maybe the class reshuffling is not going to be very drastic?


Understand from my boy’s boarding hsemaster that each year they board with a different classmate. I am assuming JH3 & JH4 are also like that.

Subj combi: choose two from the four offered, but understand from the HODs (during the parents teachers meeting) that those choosing Adv Lit would be assessed for suitability. Not too sure whether it is the same for Adv Humanities.

I am also very confused with the Mother Tongue exam? Do the students take the exam at JH3 or JH4? Is it Mother Tongue or Higher Mother Tongue? Which grade will determine the exemption at Senior High?

Hope to hear from existing JH3 or JH4 students.
