My girl also struggling & failing in some section of Chinese. But she said better to loon and bear with the HMT if not she has to take MT all the way to A Level. She is hoping and
that the school won't ask her to drop.
So I think better ask your boy not to opt out... just my girl's opinion ...

Not opt out, I thought? Thought it's school's recommendation. Anyway, I only just got back from overseas trip. Only managed to ask him some very brief things about subject comb. Will ask him about MT later.
My girl also struggling & failing in some section of Chinese. But she said better to loon and bear with the HMT if not she has to take MT all the way to A Level. She is hoping and
that the school won't ask her to drop.
So I think better ask your boy not to opt out... just my girl's opinion ...

One of the MT teachers mentioned that for those students who are struggling with HMT, there is an option to do standard MT in year 3 & 4 ...

We also think it is better to try as much as possible to take HMT till JH4. My boy's tutor was telling us Year 5 is not any easier than HMT till Year 4. Might as well spend more effort now than to do MT at year 5.phankao:
