      Mesurement often bothers me.

Sometimes, recipes use US system, example, 1 cup, 1 tsp, etc. some recipes call for grams, cups (but dunno USA, or UK).

is it the same as metric system??

      1 tsp (USA) = 1 tsp (UK) ???

why don't they use ONE system instead of so many???
πŸ˜‚ I have some recipes that use ounces and even better, some in Kati.

For me I dun bother about whether it is UK or US cup or tsp. It is all about proportion, so if I use 1 system of measurement, the proportions should follow, right?

Need to check with experts here. 1 heaped tablespoon flour is approximately 25g flour? Am I right?

Last night I baked using Betty Crocker choclate chip cookies premix, but i added extra flour and voila I managed to get a harder cookies (cruchy). Today it is still hard, my DS commented closer to FamosAmos already.

Next time i shall add some nuts to the cookies.

I used to follow the recipe that comes with the hershey’s chocolate chip packaging. I remember that it was rather close to the famous amos type of choc chip cookies. Not sure if they still have that same recipe on the back. Come to think of it, I have not been baking any choc chip cookies since my teens.

When I use only egg yolk to make cookies, they turn out to be crumbly. Still taste good but crumbles easily. What if I use only egg white? Anyone try before?

I dun think it is due to the egg yolk.
Maybe too much butter resulted unable to hold the mixture together hence breaks easily? Why not try reducing the liquid or the butter quality abit.

I was left with a fair bit of cinnamon sugar after making my cinnamon pull apart loaf so rather then let all the aromatic sugar languish on my counter top, I thought I'd try this.

                      Churros. Spanish/mexican doughnut

Coat them in cinnamon sugar, dip them in warm melted chocolate, what the heck couple them with tau suan if you like. They are definitely easier to make then you tiao. πŸ˜‰
