Can anyone advise me more on NJC. I would like to consider this school for my DD for 2012. :?

1. Heard that is a full day school, is it very stressful?
2. What is the school hour like?
3. Is their higher chinese standard like HCI.
4. Someone in the thread mentioned that every student has to stay in their hostel at least one term (for boarding purpose?)
5. What is the fees like
6. Any other important issues, please high light to me

1. full day? u can go back home once all your school activities r over. As long as ur daughter manages her time well, it should be okay for her. The school stuff r stressful, but I could manage
2. default hours this yr for jh1 : mon 8-3 tues 8-2 wed 8-3 thurs 9-2 fri 8-12.30pm note that 8am and 9am r the times their classes start, not assembly time. if u hav any more things like Drama-in-production class, CAFE, then u would hav to stay longer.
3. welll, i can't answer this cos im not sure of HCI hcl standard. But NJ's chinese is not bad
4. Yes for every JH1, they must board in the school in term 4. They check in every sunday night by latest 10 and check out every friday once their classes r over. I'm boarding right now
5. according to what i know, the school fees r pretty low, as compared to other schools like SCGS...etc
6. Wellllll...... let me think...

We also think it is better to try as much as possible to take HMT till JH4. My boy's tutor was telling us Year 5 is not any easier than HMT till Year 4. Might as well spend more effort now than to do MT at year 5.

I think in most JCs, the JC1 promos are easier to pass than the JC1 Common Test (or Mid Year Assessment). Otherwise, they will need to retain more students than they want.

Yours doing four H2-then considered good class lah. Not many four H2 class. But very scary, percentile extremely low. Heard her MT was quite okay. Praying. The rest results only out next month?

My DS's MT really cannot make it ... A Level MT this coming monday, really big time

I've been telling him to consider doing 3H2 instead ... so stressful
