Tomorrow I have to do music revision. saturday is her exam.

      plum-cake,
your DD also taking ABRSM Theory Exam this Sat? My DD1 too! Grade 1. Yeah, have to squeeze time out to do a bit of revision with her! 😓 Me clueless with music - can only go thru teacher given important notes + those past year papers that she has done in class with her! :scared:

Ohhhhh....so maybe we will get to see/guess who is who on Sat.
My 2 kids also taking theory exam this Sat 🙂

        Hi Plum-cake,

I bought a bookshelf to put in my daughter's room and moved her stuff there other than P1 assessment, so that I don't have to run between 2 rooms. Son's books presently occupying 3 bookshelves...reference/guide books one shelf, P5 Eng/Science one level, P6 another level. It was fun looking for a bookshelf in Ikea 🕺

This weekend will be another crazy one...I am free on Tue !!! :rahrah: until results are out.

ABRSM theory exams may be conducted at a few venues if the number of participants are more. You gals must be at the same venue to be able to meet up 😉 Anyway, there are always many participants (in hundreds), so difficult to guess who's who unless you especially arrange to meet up

I've been to 3 different locations for ABRSM theory exams before - Verge at Tekka area, PSC college (is that the right name?) at Bukit Merah area and Royal Hotel at Newton area. Depending on the number of participants, they booked venues accordingly.

                  Hi

Anyone answer for this qn? It is in my boy’s P3 practice paper.
Qns: Lisa said, "the bread mould is a plant."Do you agree with her? Give a reason for your answer.
my boy’s ans: No. cos the bread mould can’t bear fruits like a plant.
His dad said: No, how do you know the bread mould cant bear fruit, the qns din say so.
And they argue over this and both unhappy…now went to take a nap:<

No, the bread mould is not a plant, it is a fungi. Will have to get reason from my son later.

                      Hi Dino mummy
The answer is contributed from my son:
                      - I disagree.
                      - The bread mould is not a plant and it bears spores.
                      - It belongs to the group, fungi.
                      - It does not has leaves, stem and roots.
                      - It does not contain chlorophyll, so they cannot make their own food like plants.

Thanks Pink for the detailed answer. I am definitely going to ask my son for the characteristics of fungi. Doing quite a bit of human/plant reproduction as well as water cycles of late. Quite worried about his knowledge of lower block science.
