I was talking to a fren just now about me going to buy uniform earlier and then she advised me not too. She told me unless i can confirm that the school is not going to change the uniform vendor, better not.Cos she told me for her sonโs school, they were informed of the change in vendor during orientation day and that the previous uniform purchased cannot be used cos there is a slight changes.
Can anyone enlighten on this or anyone encounter before? -
No one has any idea there will be a change in vendor for uniform supplier?

Aiyoh... dont tell me they improved the name tag Q system after kena complaints the year b4 & neglected the uniform side last year (think same vendor?)? :slapshead:
Last yr uniform section was chaotic, luckily I bought earlier. Hard to try on at all, so messy and crowded. The name tags part was ok, check name, take and go. Think better based on last yr since it's first time orientation is only 1 session (class already told in letter), unlike past yrs.Vevey:
Actually no need to worry abt long Q, we bot DS1's during the massive crowded registration days 2yrs ago (they were required to wear uniform w name tag at a later, separate Orientation date that particular yr), but the Q (w benches sitting space) was ok, as the vendor & her many helpers would issue uniforms down the Q to try on 1st, b4 making payment when reached the head of the Q. All done leisurely & comfortably within 30min (we need that much time to try various PE & uniform sizes anyway). She told us they specially bot in more smaller sizes to cater to P1. Her judgement was good, as she insisted that I took a size smaller & \"guaranteed\" it would b able to last DS1 till end of P2. Now I think last till end of P3 also no problem.
It was the name tag Q that was a nightmare then, as all tags were jumbled up.
Had they improved it last yr?
Wonder where the chaos will b this time ard? :scratchhead: -

Now it makes me think twice whether to get 1 week before orientation. cos i think for p1 they expect the children to be wearing the same thing(brand, pattern etc). dunno can call up the school to ask or not
This yr, DS2' PCF changed uniforms AGAIN but it is flexible to accept all 3 v different designs of uniforms in its sch. Not sure abt NCPS tho.larkspur:

However, I noticed that NCPS shoes' design is slightly different when we bot a new pair in Sept 2011, compared to the 1st pair bot in Nov 2009. Different brands too. -

Anyway, books can order online & collect in sch at specific dates or delivered for a small fee since last yr. V hassle-free.
My \"strategy\" was to buy the fastest Q items (except books, too heavy to lug ard, until i saw pple w metal marketing trolley! :salute: ) 1st. Some smarter parents didn't even waste e time to fill the admin form at the general office but just went further in to buy things 1st! :salute: -
Can i know how is the teachers in NCPS? are they very young and is the teachers turnover very high?

P1 orientation is nov 23rd this year

Actually i saw the tender notice too on the website and it states bidding started in oct 2011 but it did not stated when the bidding will end and what is the outcome of the bidding. Cos is the bidding is done and over before school holidays, still can go early to buy. just worried like wat my fren says they told u only on the day of orientation.
